Primary Purpose:

 

Responsible for maintaining student records at the campus level for the school year and summer school.  Process student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals for the campus. Coordinate the collection and reporting of campus Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data.

Experience in collection and entering data; experience using coding systems preferred

 

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Record and Reports

 

  1. Coordinate the collection, integration and formatting of all data required for PEIMS submission according to PEIMS Data Standards.
  1. Work cooperatively with campus personnel to collect, organize and format data required to submit campus PEIMS data in a timely manner.
  1. Maintain physical and computerized records including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, schedule changes, and grade records.
  1. Run edits, reports and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of grades and student report information.
  1. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
  1. Coordinate grading process, including processing of scan sheets, verification and correction of grades, and printing and distribution of report cards.
  1. Prepare and distribute University Scholastic League (UIL) eligibility lists.
  1. Assist in the calculation of grade point averages, class rank, and prepare honor rolls.
  1. Prepare and monitor accurate leave information.

 Technical Support

  1. Assist counselors with the enrollment, withdrawals, re-entry and transfer of students and process applicable records.
  1. Receive PEIMS-related information from the district PEIMS Specialist and send to other

        campus personnel in a timely manner.

  1. Assist administrators and counselors with the master schedule.

Work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.  Repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of computer.  Some extended hours during particular times of the school year.
