Job Title: Student Maintenance Worker

Pay Grade:  $10 per hour

Reports to: Director of Maintenance

Primary Purpose:

Assist with packing, storing, moving and assisting with maintenance needs during the summer.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

None specified

Must be currently enrolled with Uvalde CISD

Must be 16 or older

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures

Ability to follow directions under the supervision of maintenance personnel

 

Experience:

None

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Move furniture or equipment to designated areas as marked by the maintenance crew.
2. Assist with packing and boxing,  loading and unloading of staff belongings and furniture.
3. Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Report to work on time and absent with a good cause.

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, and ladders. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials.
