Primary Purpose:
The District Website and Fundraising role is responsible for designing, enhancing, and maintaining UCISD's district websites, ensuring compliance with ADA standards and adherence to the Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2). This position is crucial in ensuring the technical effectiveness and functionality of the district's online presence. Additionally, the role strongly emphasizes fundraising for the Uvalde CISD Education Foundation, assisting with day-to-day operations, overseeing events and marketing efforts, and developing and implementing engagement strategies to enhance and grow revenue from current and prospective donors.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: 1-3 years professional experience
- Demonstrated portfolio/ work samples of video, photography, and design work
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and travel to multiple campuses and sites to capture content
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in an educational setting or with a non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and various web development tools.
- Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Bilingual preferred
Experience:
- Proven experience in website design and maintenance, with a strong understanding of ADA compliance and WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
- Proficiency in social media management, graphic design, and multimedia production.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, enhance, and maintain district websites, ensuring technical effectiveness and functionality.
- Ensure ADA compliance and adherence to WCAG 2.2 guidelines across all UCISD websites.
- Assist with the implementation of staff development in the area of web design; make presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing to align website content with district goals and initiatives.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase revenue from current and prospective donors.
- Assist with day-to-day operations, events, and marketing efforts for the Uvalde CISD Education Foundation.
- Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms to support district initiatives and fundraising campaigns.
- Utilize graphic design and videography/photography skills to produce, edit, and create multimedia pieces that support rebranding efforts, highlight programs, and showcase student and staff success.
- Support recruitment efforts for the district and the Uvalde CISD Education Foundation through innovative and impactful visual content.
