Primary Purpose:

Train, develop, and collaborate with staff to implement comprehensive academic and behavioral support. Implement state and federally-mandated student assessment programs for the district and ensure the security and integrity of testing materials and data in accordance with state and federal requirements.   

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Master’s degree 

Valid Texas teaching certificate

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation

Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness

Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of the state testing program 

Ability to use student test data systems and perform statistical analysis

 

Experience:

3 years of successful classroom experience

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Train, develop, and collaborate with staff to successfully implement student accommodations.
  2. Coordinate with ICs/ADs and campus admin to facilitate PLC/data meetings.
  3. Serve as the campus 504 coordinator to ensure that the campus complies with Section 504 and ADA and that all procedures and safeguards are followed.
  4. Serve as the campus MTSS facilitator to support the effective implementation of the district’s multi-tiered system of support model and vision for students with academic and behavioral challenges.
  5. Serve as the campus bilingual/TELPAS (LPAC) coordinator to ensure compliance with all federal and state mandates regarding bilingual, dual, and ESL Education Programs.
  6. Serve as the Individual Graduation Committee (IGC) coordinator to oversee the student eligibility and approval process and ensure compliance with state guidelines.
  7. Serve as a member of Tier I & II behavior committees.
  8. Assist administrators by serving as the district representation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. 
  9. Serve as the Campus testing coordinator, including test administration, analysis and collaboration, and recordkeeping, reporting, and inventory. (STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS, TELPAS Alternate, STAAR Interim, TSIA, PSAT, SAT, ACT, etc.)
  10. Consult with staff to provide appropriate testing accommodations for RTI, LEP, 504, and Special Education students.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

  1. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct the work of district and campus test administrators and others assigned to administer tests.
